How to Restore Deleted File from FAT & NTFS Partition?

SysTools Hard Drive Data Recovery is deleted file recovery software to restore deleted files from windows FAT & NTFS partition. File Restore is a software that recovers deleted files from Hard Dives, Floppy Drives, USB Devices such as Digital cameras, MP3 players, USB sticks and etc, Zip Dives etc.

Open SysTools Hard Drive Data Recovery. Go to Start menu » Programs » SysTools Software » SysTools Hard Drive Data Recovery » SysTools Hard Drive Data Recovery.

Software will display the following screen:

The next step is to select disk and partition from where you want to recover deleted files & folders. Software is viewing the entire available disk with available partitions. To select hard disk & partition just select the disk from the list as shown below:

Similarly we have selected D Partition on Disk 0 on the above screen.

After selecting the partition for recovery, now you have to choose recovery options. Software provides following recovery options:

  • Recover the Partition/Drive/Volume (Without deleted files/folders) - This choice will only recover the partition without recovering deleted files & folders
  • Recover the formatted Partition/Drive/Volume - This choice will recover formatted drives, partition or you can say volumes.
  • Recover the Partition/Drive/Volume including deleted files or folders - This choice will only recover the partition and also recovers deleted files & folders from selected partitions.

Choose the suitable data recovery option from the following screen:

After selecting the suitable options, user has to click on the Recover button as shown below in the red marked area:

After clicking on the Recover button, software will start scanning the selected partition for recovering deleted files and folders as shown below:

After completion of the scanning process, software will prompt a brief summary of number of files & folders found after scanning as shown below:

If you want to search files than click on Search Button otherwise click on Close button.

How to View & Save Recovered Data?

After completion of the scanning process, software will display all the files & folders found in the selected partition after scanning as follows:

Note : Software recovers deleted files and folders in Orphan folder and mark them in Red color with

To view files and folders, you have to select the file and right-click the selected file and then choose Preview Selected File from the drop down menu as shown below:

After this software will show you a preview of selected file in the File View Pane. File View ppane is marked in Red color in the screenshot below:

Saving Data Recovered after Scanning the Partition

To Save Folders , you have to select the folder from Left Paneand right-click the selected folder and then choose Extract Selected Folders from the drop down menu as shown below:

To Save Files , you have to select the file from Right Pane and right-click the selected file and then choose Extract Selected Files from the drop down menu as shown below:
