How to Restore Deleted File from FAT & NTFS Partition?

File Restore is deleted file recovery software to restore deleted files from windows FAT & NTFS partition. File Restore is a software that recovers deleted files from Hard Dives, Floppy Drives, USB Devices such as Digital cameras, MP3 players, USB sticks and etc, Zip Dives etc.

  • Open SysTools File Restore. Go to Start menu » Programs » SysTools Software » SysTools File Restore » SysTools File Restore. Software will display the following screen:

  • Software is showing list of partitions and Hard Disk or any other storage devices available with its File System & Partition Size information.
  • Now next step is to choose partition for scanning the partition for deleted files & folders. To choose partition for scanning, click on the desired partition and click on Scan Drive as shown below:

  • After clicking on Scan Drive button, software starts scanning the drive as shown below:

  • Now software is showing only deleted files found after scanning the selected drive. File Restore software skillfully scan the drive to search the deleted files. Software effectively list the deleted files with its Creation Time & Last Modified time as shown below:

To Search Files from the list of Deleted Files

  • Sometimes searching some specific files from the list of deleted files becomes more time taking process, at this File Restore software offers search option to ease your search for deleted files.
  • To search specific files, type the name of file, part of file name or extension in Search File field and then click on Go button:

  • Then software will search the file and marked the searched file in blue as shown in above figure otherwise it will show box showing "No Match Mound".
  • Software offers Preview option to view recovered deleted file before saving it to the hard disk or any other storage device. Select the file from the File View and Right click the file, select Preview from context menu.

  • Now software previews you the selected file as shown below:



  • After previewing the deleted files, next step is to save deleted files. File restore offers Saving of file in two ways as follows:

    • To Save all the Deleted Files
    • To Save Selected Deleted Files

  • To Save all the Deleted Files

  • To save all the files, click on Save File button or right click the list of files and select Save option from the context menu. After this software will display following screen:



  • Now click on Yes button to save all the files otherwise select No button. If you will choose Yes, software will show you the following box to choose the saving location:



  • Choose the desired location and click on OK button
  • Then File Restore software will start saving the file as shown below:


  • To Save Selected Deleted Files

  • To save selected file, check mark the desired files, then click on Save File or right click the file and select Save option from context menu as shown below:



  • After clicking Save File button, software will show you the following box to choose the saving location:



  • Choose the desired location and click on OK button.
  • Then File Restore software will start saving the selected file as shown below:
